══ FOR RACE DIRECTORS & PRODUCTION ══
LoC is designed to reduce informational blind spots, not create more coordination.
This page is for race directors, production leads, and event organizers evaluating what — if anything — LoC asks of you. The short answer: very little, by design.
- No additional operational work is required. LoC does not request access to your timing systems, athlete data, comms channels, or staff.
- Borderlands operates the human-observation layer during early testing. Our contributors carry the load on course. You do not staff anything for us.
- The system is intentionally lightweight and low-bandwidth. Text-first reports. No video pipelines, no broadcast trucks, no infrastructure attached to your race.
- The goal is to support production and race understanding. Anything we surface on the commentator layer is available to your booth on request.
- We aim to reduce blind spots between checkpoints — not create more coordination overhead. Strategic and dignity-related boundaries are set in advance; see the policy pages below.
If a conversation would be useful — about a specific race, a specific concern, or simply to set boundaries ahead of time — reach us at hello@borderlands.cc.
